I admit it, I’ve been absent. Blogging, for me, has always been a little bit on-again-off-again. Mostly, I write when I’m pissed or inspired. It’s hard for me to just sit down and write, because I feel like I have to be profound, or at least extensively footnoted. Perfect being the enemy of done, I have a lot of shit that I’ve wanted to say that’s gotten eaten by the little hater for being less than stellar.
While this has been great for making me feel like I really have game, the truth is you can’t have game if you don’t play. Darline from Mamas on Bedrest & Beyond gave me a little bit of a nudge on Twitter that coincided with the beginning of NaBloPoMo. Basically, it’s a riff on National Novel Writing Month for bloggers, and you just post in your blog every day for a month. Ta-da! Quick hits, deep thoughts, whatever, so long as you’re writing. Let’s see if I make it. You can help me by connecting with me on the site, and if you see anything that you think I’d be interested in (or you want to see me write about), send it my way. Of course, this means that you will see me on some of my usual haunts (with the homegirls at the Unnecesarean, as well as the community parts of RH Reality Check and Feministing), but I think that to get a cookie for completing the challenge, everything has to be cross-posted here.
Here we go!
